Sex Education Advisory Committee Seeking New Members

The Sex Education Advisory Committee is looking for new members to joining!  Members may include teachers, parents, and/or students.  β€œIt is helpful to have a different perspective in our meetings to get diverse opinions,” states JMS Assistant Principal Jason Townsend.

The Sex Education Advisory Board is a committee that reviews and evaluates Lakeview Public Schools maturation/sex education program.  The committee reviews the materials, videos, lessons/content, that is taught at that level and surveys parents to obtain their feedback on the effectiveness of the program.

The committee meets four times during the year.  The 2016/17 meeting schedule includes October 25 and November 29, 2016 and February 9 and April 13, 2017.  Meetings are held at 6:30 PM – 8 PM in the Jefferson Middle School Media Center.
